To ask someone's name Russians will say:

1.Как вас зовут?

What is your name?

 

To introduce yourself in Russian you can say:

2. Меня зовут Майк.

My name is Mike.

3. Меня зовут Кристи.

My name is Christie.

 

In response to an introduction Russians will say:

4. Очень приятно!

Nice to meet you! (literally: Very preased!)

5. Рад познакомиться!

Glad to meet you! (a man will use рад for "glad")

6. Рада познакомиться!

Glad to meet you! (a woman will use рада for "glad")
